12 Month Warranty Terms and Conditions

What this warranty covers:

Your device is covered against defects in materials and workmanship when used in accordance with the Manufacturer user manual, technical specifications and any other Manufacturer guidance released from time to time, for a period of 12 months from the date that you purchased your Device. This is called the “warranty period”. If there is a defect or fault with your device during the warranty period, we will repair or replace your Device (at our discretion). These are the only remedies available under this warranty and you will not be able to choose whether your device is repaired or replaced. This Warranty will only cover the phone with IMEI that this Warranty leaflet was supplied with.  

What this warranty does not cover:

This Limited Warranty is conditional upon proper use of the Product. This Limited Warranty does not cover:   

- Any defect or damage which should have been identified by the Customer and notified to the Supplier under clause 5 of the Terms of Sale; 

- Defects or damage resulting from accident, misuse, abnormal use, abnormal conditions, improper storage, improper exposure to liquid, moisture, dampness, sand or dirt, neglect, or unusual physical, electrical or electromechanical stress; 

- Scratches, dents and cosmetic damage; 

- Discoloration of the screen related to normal wear and tear  

- Camera spots that can only be seen on a white background. 

- Defects or damage resulting from excessive force or use of a metallic object when pressing on a touch screen; 

- Equipment that has the serial number or the enhancement data code removed, defaced, damaged, altered or made illegible; 

- Ordinary wear and tear; 

- Defects or damage resulting from the use of Product in conjunction or connection with accessories, products, or ancillary/peripheral equipment; 

- Defects or damage resulting from improper testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, or adjustment not furnished or approved by the Supplier, including but not limited to installation of unauthorized software and unauthorized root access, both of which shall void this limited warranty; 

- Defects or damage resulting from external causes such as collision with an object, fire, flooding, dirt, windstorm, lightning, earthquake, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuse, or improper use of any electrical source; or. 

- Defects or damage to the Face ID or Touch ID.  

This Limited Warranty does not cover any battery if: 

- The battery has been charged by a battery charger not specified or approved by the original device manufacturer for charging the battery; 

- Any of the seals on the battery are broken or show evidence of tampering; or  

- The battery has been used in equipment other than the device for which it is specified. 

You will not be able to claim under this warranty if the serial number on your device has been removed or if we know, or reasonably believe, your device to be stolen (based on information provided by law enforcement authorities). 

How to claim on this warranty

Visit https://www.devicesdirect.co.uk/pages/warranty-claim and complete our returns form, we will contact you by email to organise the return. 

To obtain service under this Limited Warranty, the Customer must:  

- Ensure the Product is adequately packed to avoid further damage. 

- Backup and remove all personal data from your device before sending it to us 

- Ensure that the Product is free of any software locks that hinder the ability to boot and access the full functionality of the device. Examples of such locks are

1) Pin Locks 
2) iCloud (or equivalent) linked device screen lock; 
3) Apple Find my Phone (or equivalent) lock; 
4) Samsung Find My Phone (or equivalent) lock; 
5) Google Find my phone (or equivalent) lock. 
A confirmation email will be sent to you when received. Once received and verified it is covered by this warranty your device will be repaired or replaced and shipped to you within 7 working days. If the fault or damage is not covered by this warranty, we shall contact you to explain why and make arrangements to return the device to you. We reserve the right to charge you for the carriage if the fault or damage is not covered by warranty.

If we find that there is a fault or defect and you are covered by this warranty, we will either: 

a) Repair your device using new or used parts that are equivalent to new in functionality and performance; or

b) Replace your device with a pre-owned device that is at least equivalent to the quality, functionality and cosmetics of your original device. We may install system/software updates onto your new or repaired device and you will be unable to revert to an earlier version of the system/software once this has been done. You will be responsible for reinstalling all software programs (including apps), data and information onto your repaired or replaced device. Some apps may not be compatible with the system/software update we have installed, and we will not be liable where any of the apps you have downloaded cannot be reloaded onto your new or repaired Device.

Where we replace your Device the replacement device will be owned by you and we will retain the original. You will not be entitled to ask for the original device to be returned to you; and any remaining time left on your 12 month warranty will be transferred to your replacement device. 

Our liability

This warranty document sets out all of the warranties we make in respect of your device and sets out the full extent to which we will be liable to you. 

We do not warranty that we will be able to repair or replace your device without risk to, and potential loss of, any information, software (including apps) and data stored on your device. 

We will not be liable for: 

1) damage or issues arising from the use or representation of non-authorised, malicious or Beta software 

2) any indirect or consequential losses that you suffer that are not a result of our breach of the terms of this warranty; or 

3) any losses relating to a business (including, but not limited to, loss of profit, loss of data and loss of opportunity). 


We will process your personal data in accordance with GDPR and all applicable data protection laws 


The terms of this warranty are governed by the laws of England and Wales but if you are a consumer resident in another country, it may be that the laws of your state will apply (and if you live in Scotland, the laws of Scotland will apply). Both you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales over the terms of this warranty. 

If any term of this warranty is held to be illegal or unenforceable, it shall be severed from the rest of the terms and the remaining terms will be unaffected. 

It is given in addition to your legal rights and remedies as a consumer and does not replace or affect any such rights. 

Your legal rights

As a consumer you have certain rights by law when you buy goods. These include the right to receive products that are of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If you encounter an issue with your device, you have the right to choose whether to exercise your legal rights as a consumer or to claim under this warranty. These terms and conditions govern this warranty only and do not apply to your consumer rights.
